Rules
The race will be governed by the 2010 Japan Association of Athletics Federations competition rules and the 2010 Regulations of the Japan Amateur Athletic Federation for the Disabled.
 
Awards
(1) Half Marathon: The first to eighth place competitors in the men's and women's races will receive awards
(2) Wheelchair Half Marathon: The first to eighth place competitors will receive awards
 
Eligibility *Those who satisfy all the conditions of respective division

(1)

Competitors must be 18 years or older as of May 9, 2010. High school students are not eligible.

(2) Competitors must be registered with the Japan Association of Athletics Federations (JAAF) for F.Y. 2009.
*Competitors must complete registration for F.Y. 2010 to participate.
(3) Competitors must clear one of the qualifying times listed below, in any JAAF certified race that was held between April 1, 2009 and February 28, 2010.
[Wheelchair Half Marathon]
(1) Competitors must possess a Disabled Person's Record File (Shougaisha-Techo) or have a similar disability and be 18 years or older as of May 9, 2010. High school students are not eligible.
(2) Competitors must be registered with or receive certification from the Japan Association of Athletics Federation for the Disabled (JAAFD).
(3) Competitors must clear one of the qualifying times listed below, in any JAAFD certified race that was held between April 1, 2009 and February 28, 2010.

Applications postmarked on these dates will be eligible.
*However, when the capacity (Half Marathon division (Men):900 persons, Half Marathon division (Women):300 persons, Wheelchair division:60 persons) is reached, application shall be closed before the deadline.
 
Application Procedure
Apply by one of the following methods.
(1) Post Office Complete the official application form (request official application forms at info@sendaihalf.com) and send it with a postal money order for your entry fee from your local post office.
   Processing fee: 120 yen
We recommend you to keep a copy of your application to verify your entry.
(2) Sendai International Half Marathon Executive Committee Secretariat Open from 9:00 to 17:00 on weekdays, closed on weekends and holidays.

Notes
 
* Your entry fee will not be refunded after we accept your application.
* We will not accept applications received before or after the application period.
* We will not accept applications that lack information (such as official records, registered athletics federations, registration numbers , etc.) or contain false information
* We will not refund entry fees when the race is cancelled due to conditions beyond the organizer's control. Such conditions include, but are not limited to, earthquakes, natural disasters, and accidents.
 
Other
(1) Bib numbers will be issued at the registration desk on the day before the race or on the race day.
(2) "RT tags" (Runners Torso Tag) will be used for timekeeping. Please attach it to your number card firmly and return it after the event without fail.
*RT tags for wheelchair division participants should be attached to the front fork (the wheel frame).
*Personal chips (yellow chip) cannot be used in this meeting.
(3) Competitors will be responsible for any necessary medical checkups.
(4) The organizers' liability towards any accidents during the competition will be limited to injury insurance.
(5) The following cutoff points will be designated for the races.

(6) Wheelchair competitors will be ordered to stop racing if they are overtook by a half marathon competitor. Competitors ordered to stop should follow instructions from the next course marshals and race officials on the course.
Competitors that have passed the 20km cutoff will not be ordered to stop racing.
(7) Competitors must follow orders if race officials order the competitor to quit the race under any other circumstances.
(8) Since doping control inspection is conducted according to IAAF charters with those who are selected among all the participants at random, please obey the direction from the executive officers.
